The laboratory pilot plant included: 4 stages of continuous leaching 14 stages of mixer-settlers in the SX circuit EW pilot plant with 4 cathodes and 5 anodes. |

The laboratory plant featured flanged mixer-settlers with flanged covers in order to provide an air tight seal for use with solvents having a low flash point. |

Client: PCS Phosphate Location: Aurora, North Carolina, USA Plant Capacity: 150 m L/min (org + aq) This laboratory solvent extraction pilot plant featured flanged mixer-settlers with flanged covers in order to provide an air tight seal for use with a solvent at a low flash point. The settlers and organic vessel featured glass jackets for circulation of hot water for operation at elevated temperatures. The pilot plant was used to evaluate the extraction of impurities from phosphoric acid. |
