First copper produced in Kazakhstan by SX / EW

     On August 22, 2008, Sary Kazna LLP with SX Kinetics produced the first copper in Kazakhstan by solvent extraction and electrowinning technology.

     This historical event was done using SX Kinetics' modular solvent extraction and electrowinning pilot plant. Copper cathodes were produced from a dump leaching project near Balkhash, Kazakhstan. For more details and photos about this project please go to: Copper SX/EW Pilot Plant
